Senioriales: a new concept for seniors!
Les Senioriales®, Great days ahead Safety, comfort, conviviality, holidays: four key values for the Senioriales® concept. Neither retirement homes nor hospitals, these residences are popular with active, autonomous seniors who want to live their retirement to the full. This success will last, as in 2030, there will be 20 million over 60s in France.

At 60, people are young, active, healthy…Now is the time to fulfil their dreams. “What if I were to move for my retirement?” Who has never dreamt of this possibility?
Once the kids have been raised and a career completed, there is a desire for elsewhere, sun and countryside. People feel free to choose where to enjoy their longer life expectancy. Nowadays men can hope to live to 82 and
women to 87. These extra years have been “won”.
It is estimated that in 2030, the average age of dependent people will increase from 79 to 85 for men and from 83 to 88 for women. According to a survey conducted in January 2009 on a representative panel of over 50s, 31% intend to move once they have retired. Even though
aspirations change according to their age group, most people (70%) would like to own practical accommodation, in a pleasant place, not too far from family. 22% seek facilities. 45% intend to live in a residence for seniors.
So where do you want to move when you retire?

Their buying power is stable, they are looking for a safe, comfortable life and want to enjoy their retirement.
They represent the new, young and dynamic seniors generation. Les Senioriales® are designed for them.
How were Les Senioriales® created? When the first residence was launched in 2001, there were no appropriate housing solutions for Seniors. Now there are 22 Les Senioriales® residences to cater for their needs.
What is the Senioriales® concept? Its key values are security, comfort, conviviality. Houses with appropriate
services, close to shops. People are independent in a secure environment, as each residence has an electric gate, videophone, clubhouse, pool, live-in caretaker-gardener and a coordinator.
In villages and towns. Why this trend? We realised that our concept appealed but certain seniors wanted to stay in towns. The concept is identical to “villages”, with apartments instead of houses. Low service charges produce sales and rental prices close to the conventional market. Rental demand is very strong; in 2009, we received almost 3,000 requests.
Since 2007, Les Senioriales® is part of Pierre & Vacances – Center Parcs Group. What changes? An additional
dimension: exclusive consultants to advise investors. We were thus able to add a “holiday” bonus. Owners and tenants can now stay in the Group’s residences at low prices.
